Deliberations in the study included projected mining rates of up to 120,000 tonnes per day, with an annual production potential of 300 million pounds of copper, complemented by gold and silver yields. The Pre-Feasibility Study accounted for conventional open-pit mining and ore processing methodologies without discerning design risks.
CONTEMPORARY REVIEW AND EVALUATION
Despite the promising indications from historical assessments, current consensus deems these studies and estimates as primarily conceptual, pending validation through ongoing technical endeavours. In 2017, Oroco Resources undertook a sweeping geological mapping exercise across the project, amalgamating all data from earlier exploration activities. By 2019, efforts were channelled towards improving site accessibility and developing essential on-site facilities. A complete 3-D resistivity and induced polarization survey commenced subsequently in September 2020, intensively covering key mineralized zones. Correlations from this cutting-edge survey with historical data are now steering the Company's directed drilling program.
