WESDOME GOLD MINES BOLSTERS ITS GOLD PRODUCTION STRATEGY WITH PRESQU’ÎLE ZONE DEVELOPMENT

Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd., a 100% Canadian enterprise focused on being Canada's next intermediate gold producer, recently announced its plan to take on the Presqu’île zone as one of its significant projects. Founded on a consistent oscillogram of consistent results, Wesdome operates two productive underground gold mines in Ontario and Quebec, with a yearly target production of 200,000+ ounces of gold.

Recently, the company pronounced the continuity of the Presqu’île zone approximately 1.3 kilometres northwest of the resuscitated Kiena mine complex. Aggregating multiple benefits from a consistent exploration and innovation strategy, Presqu’île's recent revamp has resulted in a 28,848-ounce yield in 2022.
The recent developments at the surface are due to layers of conclusive drilling evidence which have substantiated firm confidence in the zone's potential. Wesdome Gold Mines (TSX: WDO) supplemented its insights through an ongoing testing program investigating the underexplored near-surface gold potential. The busy dynamism at Wesdome sparked the decision to construct an exploration ramp to delve further into the viability of added resource concentrations.

Simultaneously, the company's highlights put an impressive portfolio of assays on the podium, reinforcing the decision to excavate the down plunge extension further. Some notable findings include 32.5 g/t gold over 3.0 metres core length, 14.0 g/t gold over 5.3 metres core length, and 9.31 g/t gold over 4.6 metres core length.

Focused on the longevity of its projects, Wesdome is also setting the stage for a comprehensive underground timbre, complementing Kiena's existing underground access points. This network will serve as a promising conduit to the surface, speeding up ongoing operations and the future extraction potential of assets like the Dubuisson deposit emanating from level 33.

The Presqu’île zone carries significant momentum as one of many possessing the potential to offer a supplementary source of mill feed near-surface or in the upper mine area. Recent drilling achievements from contiguous zones amplify the robustness and potential of the area, promising more zones of gold mineralization accessible from level 33 and additional down-plunge extensions akin to the Kiena Deep zone.
Presqu’île, under exploration since 2020, has birthed five gold-rich zones crosscutting mafic and ultramafic rocks. The gold mineralization visible at the site presents interesting geological features with up to 5% disseminated sulphides and gold grains commingling in quartz-chlorite-carbonate or grey quartz vein contacts and moderately to strongly chloridized and biotitized host rocks.

The 2023 surface drill program is in its final stages, confirming the continuity of the gold mineralization and the potential for down-plunge extension to the east at Presqu’île. This high-potential zone, with an indicated resource of 138,000 tonnes grading 8.2 g/t gold and an inferred resource of 202,000 tonnes grading 7.4 g/t gold, frees a new door of possibilities for Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. and outlines an intriguing eon of Canadian gold mining.
