EMPOWERING U.S. AGRICULTURE WITH DOMESTIC POTASH: SAGE POTASH'S MISSION IN THE PARADOX BASIN

In an era where food security is taking center stage on the global platform, the role of dependable nutrient supplies cannot be understated. Sage Potash, operating under the ticker symbols TSXV: SAGE and OTC: SGPTF, stands at the forefront of this initiative, striving to secure America's potash needs from the heart of Utah's Paradox Basin.

THE CRUCIAL ROLE OF POTASH IN AMERICAN FOOD SECURITY

As a mineral essential to the agricultural industry, potash constitutes a significant component of modern fertilizers, known for its pivotal function in maintaining crop production and enhancing yields. Within the agricultural realm, a trio of nutrients—Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Potassium (NPK)—are key to the health and robustness of crops. Of these, Potassium (K), sourced primarily from potash, is integral for optimal plant nutrition and by extension, the dietary requirements of both humans and livestock. The human body, alongside the animals that constitute a part of our diet, necessitates substantial levels of Potassium for proper functioning, acquired mainly through the consumption of fruits, grains, vegetables, and animal proteins. However, the vast majority of Potassium in soils remains inaccessible, bound within insoluble compounds such as feldspar and mica, leaving only a minute fraction in soil solution available to plants. This conundrum renders the role of soluble potash in agriculture all the more critical.

NAVIGATING THROUGH SUPPLY CHALLENGES AND MARKET FLUCTUATIONS

In recent times, the geopolitics weaving through the global potash market have thrust the resource into sharp focus. Sanctions against Belarus and Russia have precipitated a spike in potash prices, albeit later adjusted due to burgeoning inventories. Despite this, the market is projected to witness erratic growth trends over an extended period, with inflation and supply chain issues likely persisting through 2023. A pressing concern in the early stretch of the upcoming year is fertilizer logistics within the United States, where the Mississippi River's water levels—diminished by drought—continue to impact nutrient supply and pricing adversely.

PARADOX BASIN: UNLOCKING A NATIONAL RESOURCE

Nestled within the Paradox Basin, where more than a quarter of the United States' potash reserves lie, Sage Potash has marked a significant portion of this territory for the potential extraction and distribution of this vital resource. Despite the basin containing an inordinate volume of the nation’s potash resources, it currently accounts for a mere 3.5% of domestic potash production. The need to ramp up production from these local reserves cannot be overemphasized, particularly in light of the current geopolitical climate. Estimations by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) propose an astonishing two billion tons of potash resource populating the expanse of the Paradox Basin, which sprawls over southeastern Utah and southwestern Colorado.

EXPLORATION AND INNOVATION AT SAGE PLAIN POTASH PROPERTY

Positioned approximately 65 miles due south of the extant Cane Creek Mine, the specific locale within the Paradox Basin chosen by Sage Potash was identified following the detailed resource mapping of Dr. Robert Hite. By thoroughly analyzing Gamma Ray Wire Logs from historical regional oil and gas ventures, Dr. Hite inferred the strong probability of discovering thick, flat, and high-grade potash beds, previously unreachable by conventional mining techniques. Today, these once-elusive deposits are accessible via cutting-edge directional drilling and proven solution mining methods, potentially positioning the Sage Plain Potash Property as a premier domestic source of high-grade potash. Currently, Sage Potash partners with RESPEC to conclude the engineering plans, facilitating the necessary permitting applications to initiate the drilling of strategic stratigraphic wells. These endeavors aim to pave the way for single cavern development alongside small-scale pilot production.

PROJECT LAND PORTFOLIO & FUTURE OUTLOOK

In terms of resources, Sage Potash boasts a substantial portfolio of mineral rights, complimented by a swathe of BLM Prospecting Permit Applications. These assets represent an invaluable stride towards redefining domestic potash production, catering to the agricultural sector, and fortifying U.S. food security. As Sage Potash continues to navigate the intricate journey from exploration to production, its dedication to mitigating supply chain disruptions through the cultivation of an American potash supply remains unshakeable. It is this commitment that stands to play a profound role in stabilizing and enriching the nation's agricultural landscape in the years to come.
