In the heart of the Dawson Range Gold Belt, within Yukon's mineral-rich terrains, lies the prodigious Klaza Property. Solely owned by Rockhaven Resources Ltd., this expansive territory covers a staggering 25,000 hectares. Approximately 50 kilometres west of Carmacks, the Klaza Property stands as a beacon of potential in an under-explored section of the historic gold belt. Boasting not only an erstwhile gold mine but also bountiful placer gold deposits, it’s situated in the advantageous southern district of the Dawson Range, where every contour of the earth whispers the lore of bygone prospectors.
Convenience is key to any successful venture, and the Klaza Property does not disappoint. The site is seamlessly connected to the outside world, thanks to a road that can be navigated by two-wheel drive vehicles stemming from the venerable Klondike Highway. This kind of road access to such a potentially lucrative project is a logistical triumph.
Rockhaven Resources Ltd. has executed a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary exploration approach on the Klaza Property. They have undertaken over 100,000 metres of diamond drilling and 24,500 metres of excavator trenching to unlock the land's secrets. High-tech surveys, including airborne and ground magnetic, radiometric, and VLF-EM, in conjunction with extensive soil geochemistry analyses, have painted a picture of a site brimming with untapped resources.
Rockhaven's tireless exploration has identified 12 main mineralized zones with additional subsidiary structures across the property, brandishing a combined mineralized strike length of over 10 kilometres. Nestled within a structural corridor that spans 1.8 kilometres in width with Mid-Cretaceous granitic country rocks, these zones exhibit an astonishing geological consistency. Their rich veins, breccias, and fracture networks, often found alongside quartz-feldspar porphyry dykes, extend laterally and plunge into the depths, yet they remain open for further exploration and promise. The intricate dance between geophysical anomalies and soil geochemistry has proven to be an effective method for locating these zones. Intense magnetic lows and VLF-EM conductors frequently correspond with areas of heightened levels of precious metals and base elements, indicating a region rich in promise.
The Klaza Property is not merely a site of geological interest but a venture with robust economic potential. A Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) updated in July 2020 solidified the project's viability. When calculated with a conservative gold price, the figures are impressive, but at contemporary gold prices, they are nothing short of extraordinary. The post-tax Net Present Value (NPV) magnificently stands at $540 million with an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) that nearly reaches half of the project's magnitude, delineating an endeavour of not only mineral but also financial abundance. In summary, the Klaza Property, under the stewardship of Rockhaven Resources Ltd., is poised to become one of Yukon's most pivotal mining ventures, marrying the richness of the land with masterful exploration and strategic planning. As the project advances, it beckons prospectors and investors alike to witness its unfolding story — one that may well be gilded with the lustre of gold.
